Have you ever wondered where to buy gold bars?  Aside from the seeing it in movies like James Bond Goldfinger, I used to think it was just not something you could get your hands on.

There actually was a time when the government would not allow everyday citizens to purchase their own gold.  President Roosevelt made it illegal to own gold in 1933.
