Christmas cards

Thursday, October 11th, 2012

Wow! I can’t believe it’s already October. It’s one more week to go. Holidays is going to be here soon so get ready for your holiday plans. Tonight when I got my paycheck there was sign-up sheet inserted for Christmas already. Yah! That fast eh! Anyway it’s time to make some Christmas photo cards for my family and friends. I do that every year! This year I have tons of photos in my computer so I won’t have a problem for making photo cards.

Photo album books

Monday, March 19th, 2012

We’ve come a long way from the earliest printing press made by the inventor Guttenberg.  It’s hard to imagine what it would have been like in those days before movable typesetting made it possible to print multiple copies of books speedily and accurately.  There would have been only a privileged few who could afford to keep any books at all.  And most wouldn’t even have known how to read those books if they had them.   It’s easy to forget how lucky we are to have such wide and easy access to volumes and volumes of information in books.

But it’s just as easy to forget that we are in the middle of another revolution at this very moment.  Up until recently, the barriers to getting a book published would have prevented all but the most determined and resourceful authors from even considering such a thing.  But with the advent of modern computing technology and high speed internet communication, it can all be done on your kitchen table and sent out to the manufacturer almost at the speed of thought.

I’ve always been interested in scrapbooking and photo album books.  So it was that when we got a computer and went online, I naturally gravitated towards creating my own online scrapbooks and blogs like this one.  I’ve been doing this as well for quite a while, and now find that I’m at the point where I want to make my work available in book form.

Now before you think that printing your own book is ludicrous and that you could never consider doing it yourself, consider how far we’ve come in just the last 10 years alone.  We didn’t even have Facebook back at the beginning of the millennium.  What you do in the next 10 years could be even more fantastic.

The strength of Love

Strengthoflove1
I’ve been through a lot these past years personally with family matters and sometimes I wonder why this is happening to me and my family. But I never give up and never lose hope because I know God loves me and my family. There’s no doubt that the love of God made me stronger for the past years. Things are now a lot better and we were able to fight the problems with the help of our family and God. I thank you God for your love and mercy!

This is how I feel sometimes. I’m tired, I need rest. I want some peace please is what I say sometimes. Is that sound familiar to you? As a mother you probably know that children are demanding. They are loud and messy. They scattered toys everywhere and it makes my head spin you know! I’m sure that’s not new to you. When they are young as babies they need diaper change, changing clothes, baths, naps and most especially, Mommy. As they get older it’s time to start a new chapter in their lives and so they go to school. Now they need help with their homework, rides everywhere they want to go, money, a bit less Mom. Children are precious! They are a bunch of fun and endless work I tell you. As you know they get bigger but no matter how big they get, they are always our babies. Through our children, we are blessed. Children a reward from Him! (Psalm 127:3-5). If you have children then you are blessed. I just have to remember that when my children call me” Mommy…I need you”
Lord God I thank you for the opportunity to be a mother of my 2 children. Thank you for my precious daughter Abigail and my baby son Noah. I sometimes get frustrated and forget they are gift from you. Please help me to remember that they are a blessing and my life would be empty, unmeaningful and incomplete without them. Thank you for blessing me with such an adorable and irreplaceable gift.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone and Bless you!

3 Sons are a heritage from the LORD,
children a reward from him.

4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one’s youth.

5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127:3-5 (NIV)
