Amplifiers

Wednesday, October 31st, 2012

It’s easy to make the mistake of believing that music is produced as if from “thin air”.  Because we don’t usually appreciate or see all of the work and practice that go into making a song or a musician sound good.  In addition, today’s music is enjoyed with the help of a panoply of technical wizardry including things like UltraSound Amplifiers.

The point is that it takes a lot of hard work and technical expertise – on top of sheer raw talent – to make modern music sound as good as it does.  Which is why we show our appreciation for a great piece of music by clapping (as well as supporting the musicians and their crew by buying their records).

Life insurance

Monday, October 29th, 2012

I was just talking about insurance in my other blog and considering getting one for my family. I’ve wanted to get insurance before but never have a chance to really understand what it’s all about. I know now how important it is to have life insurance especially I have my own family. I just have to find out about term life insurance rates or maybe the long term one. I need to understand about these two terms you know so that I can decide which one I’m going to buy!

custom pins

Saturday, October 27th, 2012

We’re coming up to Remembrance Day where we live and soon we’ll see everyone from average people to high profile public figures sporting red poppies in remembrance of the tragedy of war.  The poppies are a simple replica of the four-petalled red poppies that grow in the field where many of our war dead are buried in France.  They haven’t changed the poppy or its design for as long as we’ve commemorating the dead – which is probably as it should be.  But I sometimes wonder if people should also wear their own custom pins as a way to remind ourselves that each soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice was also a unique individual.

Saturday

Saturday, October 27th, 2012

It’s Saturday afternoon here and getting ready to visit my in-laws. It’s been crazy weather today. It’s raining since yesterday. It’s good though but I have to complain because I wanted to do some photoshoot outside catching up the fall leaves you know. Fall will be gone soon and it’s going to be winter. I love winter too when it’s not cold…hehe

Batteries

Thursday, October 11th, 2012

Batteries around our house are almost a scarce commodity.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve needed batteries for my various electronic tools and have come up empty after looking through all the known battery storage drawers in the house.  I’d save myself a whole lot of hassle using aa rechargeable batteries instead.  That seems to be the most common size I have to deal with.

Christmas cards

Thursday, October 11th, 2012

Wow! I can’t believe it’s already October. It’s one more week to go. Holidays is going to be here soon so get ready for your holiday plans. Tonight when I got my paycheck there was sign-up sheet inserted for Christmas already. Yah! That fast eh! Anyway it’s time to make some Christmas photo cards for my family and friends. I do that every year! This year I have tons of photos in my computer so I won’t have a problem for making photo cards.
