I wish it’s summer

Saturday, January 11th, 2014

The summer season is long past and we’ve long put away the outdoor cushions for our patio furniture.  They’re a bit bulky so they were a challenge to find a place to store them for the winter.  But I did find the perfect place in the garage so that they’re stacked one on top of the other in a corner and mostly out of the way.

Now I have to find a convenient place for the patio furniture itself.  It might go nicely in the opposite corner.  I’m off to make way for it now.

The right tool

Friday, July 19th, 2013

We recently picked up some old tools that my father-in-law said he didn’t need or want anymore now that they are downsizing.  Anyway, he has two sets of most tools, so these will hardly be missed.  My husband almost always jumps at the chance to increase his tool chest.  And it’s things that you’d just as sure find at reidsupply.com to boot.  And like he always says, the job is always easier with the right tools at hand.

Windows

Wednesday, April 17th, 2013

We’re presently living in a condominium style residence that looks after things like the outdoor landscaping and external house items – like the roof.  Another thing that the condominium agreement includes are the windows.  And we’ve been waiting to hear whether they are going to soon replace our aging windows.  We heard about a year ago that they were considering replacing all of the windows in our neighbourhood.

Now, obviously, since they’re making it their business, we won’t have to concern ourselves with finding the actual replacement windows.  But if I were the condo people I’d be seriously considering going with charlottesville windows for our present needs.  But I’m not.  But I can always put in a recommendation.

Cabinet hardware

Monday, February 18th, 2013

I’ve got a broken kitchen cabinet door that my husband has promised me he’d fix sometime soon.  The problem is that the hinge broke and it’s the kind of hinge that swings the door sort of out and in – a specialty item like so many other cabinet hardware knobs you might want.  It’s not that the hinge isn’t a good idea.  It’s just that the variety of hinges available makes it somewhat difficult to make a match.

Bathroom

Monday, October 1st, 2012

Our bathroom could be the second most important room in the house – maybe even the most important.  It certainly consumes a lot of toilet tissue.  And it’s easily the most private of the rooms in our house.  It’s fairly modern and up to date in fixtures and amenities.  However, bathroom remodeling houston just gave me more than enough ideas to keep me dreaming for at least the next year or more.

carpet cleaning

Sunday, May 13th, 2012

It’s been a while since we cleaned our carpet and it’s time to do it now. Thank goodness winter is behind us and warm weather is finally here at least. Although there was some snow in the spring a while ago but now I think it’s really spring. It’s still chilly but it’s manageable. I was saying earlier its carpet cleaning time. The basement carpet is really bad so it’s time to look for the best carpet cleaning in town although I’ve seen carpet cleaning chapel hill nc online the other day. I wonder if that’s what I’m looking for. But it’s too far where we live though. Well I’m sure they can travel.
