Bible reading challenge in 90 days

Bible in 90 Days
Last spring I was attempted to join the Bible in 90 days but I started like a month behind. I also bought the recommended reading Bible in 90 days. I started my reading from Genesis and I really enjoyed it. I worked night shift straight so it was very difficult for me. Sometimes I read it during my free time at work and then I will fall asleep. Anyway I’ve read up until Leviticus and decided to stop because I wanted to join the next challenge with the rest of the readers. I’m reading it on my own without mentor and not much encouraging so it was really difficult as well. Now this time I have a mentor and her name is Debbie. She graduated from the Bible in 90 days last summer of 2010.
I’m also very thankful that I found this Bible in 90 days through internet and blogging so you see there are good things on the internet.
I’m hoping and praying that I will be able to finish the reading in 90 days. The reading begins tomorrow July 11, and ends October 8, 2011. Blessings to all who are joining this challenge!

Thankful to God about our van

Friday, November 5th, 2010

I mentioned that I’ve missed a lot of TT meme earlier and I actually have something share and be thankful this week. Last Sunday I saw a red sign in our van pointing on the engine. I was so upset because it could be a lot of money again. I just spent about 700 dollars in the summer fixing the alternator and changed a new battery.  Everything were okay since then until I saw that sign.  Anyway 2 days ago I didn’t see the sign anymore. It vanished and I was so happy and so thankful to God that I don’t have spent money for repair.

I thank you God….

Month of October hosted by Lynn!
It’s been a while since I participated in this meme. It doesn’t mean that I forget thanking God.
Last Sunday at the Church we were given a blank paper for us to list down all the things that we are thankful for.
Below are the things that I wrote that day:
I thank you God that you are my God.
I thank you for all the blessings that you have given us every day such us food and shelter and for giving a family; a husband and kids.
I thank my Mom, brothers, sisters, niece, nephews and parents-in-laws to be a part of our family.
I thank you God for my work and the opportunity to work overtime.
I thank you God for my computer and camera.
I thank you for my health.
I thank you for our house and all the appliances that come with it.
I thank you for blogging, for making friends online and the opportunity to make money online.

I’m Thankful to God that no one gets hurt by the Earthquake

Iris at Grace Alone~

On Wednesday afternoon earthquake hit Ontario and Quebec border. I didn’t know about it until I came up upstairs after my friends left. Two of my friends dropped by but we didn’t notice or felt anything. As I said hubby told me and he said that he felt the ground moving. According to the news it was 5.0 magnitudes. Nothing has reported that gets hurt by the earthquake neither damage at all and I’m very thankful for that. Thank you God for watching over us!

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—

where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Psalm 121

Iris at Grace Alone~

I’m having a hard time what to write about thankful Thursday. I know that there are unlimited things around us that need to be thankful for. Okay here we go I start with:
I thank God for my parents who have brought me into this world. My father was gone but my mother still here.
I thank God for having a chance to live in a nice country such as Canada. There is lots of opportunity here and freedom.
I thank God for creating me and giving me an opportunity and chance to raise my own kids.

I thank God for my husband and kids who have given me happiness and joy.

24 ” ‘ “The LORD bless you
and keep you;
25 the LORD make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
26 the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace.” ‘
Numbers 6:24-26 (N I V)

This is how I feel sometimes. I’m tired, I need rest. I want some peace please is what I say sometimes. Is that sound familiar to you? As a mother you probably know that children are demanding. They are loud and messy. They scattered toys everywhere and it makes my head spin you know! I’m sure that’s not new to you. When they are young as babies they need diaper change, changing clothes, baths, naps and most especially, Mommy. As they get older it’s time to start a new chapter in their lives and so they go to school. Now they need help with their homework, rides everywhere they want to go, money, a bit less Mom. Children are precious! They are a bunch of fun and endless work I tell you. As you know they get bigger but no matter how big they get, they are always our babies. Through our children, we are blessed. Children a reward from Him! (Psalm 127:3-5). If you have children then you are blessed. I just have to remember that when my children call me” Mommy…I need you”
Lord God I thank you for the opportunity to be a mother of my 2 children. Thank you for my precious daughter Abigail and my baby son Noah. I sometimes get frustrated and forget they are gift from you. Please help me to remember that they are a blessing and my life would be empty, unmeaningful and incomplete without them. Thank you for blessing me with such an adorable and irreplaceable gift.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone and Bless you!

3 Sons are a heritage from the LORD,
children a reward from him.

4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one’s youth.

5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127:3-5 (NIV)
