It’s tax season

Thursday, January 16th, 2014

I shudder every time I think of what I need to do this time of year – at tax time.  It’s neither my or my husband’s favourite thing to do to prepare our tax returns.  Sometimes I think I’d rather have my wisdom teeth pulled than do taxes.

I suppose most people are in the same boat as us.  It’s not on most people’s list of top things to do with their time.  And with the multitude of other things that a person has to get done – from taking the kids to school and soccer practice, to making an important sale for your business – there’s even less time available to look at the books.

That makes taxes and bookkeeping the perfect job to outsource.  You don’t have to look very far.  It doesn’t matter if you live in Ontario.  – just like there is one available wherever you are.

Wooden boxes

Thursday, January 16th, 2014

When you don’t have the tools to do the job like making these wooden boxes, it can be as frustrating as trying to pin wet pumpkin seeds to a wall.  Among other things, you’re going to need a good table saw and a sander.  And then there’s all the time and expertise it takes to produce something even useful.  Sometimes it does make more sense just to get someone else to make it – someone who does have all the tools and experience.

Thinking of Spa

Thursday, January 16th, 2014

There are many ways to unwind after a long hard day of work.  And they may or may not unwind anything.  For example, some like to plop down in front of the computer or TV.  But it could depend on the content and quality of the show whether you truly end up winding down or not.

On the other hand, there are some tried and true methods of relief that are more directly to the point of stress and tension in your body.  I’m talking about massage.  And if you’re down for it, you’ll find one of the best stress-relief massages by visiting some Spa.  There’s more to a massage than just a quick kneading by your spouse, however well-intentioned they may be.  And that’s where the professionals can pick up where your spouse might have left off.

I wish it’s summer

Saturday, January 11th, 2014

The summer season is long past and we’ve long put away the outdoor cushions for our patio furniture.  They’re a bit bulky so they were a challenge to find a place to store them for the winter.  But I did find the perfect place in the garage so that they’re stacked one on top of the other in a corner and mostly out of the way.

Now I have to find a convenient place for the patio furniture itself.  It might go nicely in the opposite corner.  I’m off to make way for it now.

Insomnia

Thursday, January 9th, 2014

Hello again everyone! I’m still here trying to blog about anything that I could think off. It’s almost 3:00 am early morning and I’m going to bed very soon. I would rather go to sleep when all my tasks are done but I don’t know. I have to talk about this industrial hand wheels first and then I have to return some blog comments to my fellow bloggers. What do you know about hand wheels? Well for me I work in an auto shop with lots of machines so I’m familiar with hand wheels.
