About The Forever Word

I’m a Christian who loves God and my family. I’m a Mother of 2 beautiful children, a 6 year old daughter and almost 2 year old son. I’m addicted to Digital Scrapbooking and Photography. I also love cooking, baking, gardening and anything that makes me excite like Blogging and travel!

Photo album books

We’ve come a long way from the earliest printing press made by the inventor Guttenberg.  It’s hard to imagine what it would have been like in those days before movable typesetting made it possible to print multiple copies of books speedily and accurately.  There would have been only a privileged few who could afford to keep any books at all.  And most wouldn’t even have known how to read those books if they had them.   It’s easy to forget how lucky we are to have such wide and easy access to volumes and volumes of information in books.

But it’s just as easy to forget that we are in the middle of another revolution at this very moment.  Up until recently, the barriers to getting a book published would have prevented all but the most determined and resourceful authors from even considering such a thing.  But with the advent of modern computing technology and high speed internet communication, it can all be done on your kitchen table and sent out to the manufacturer almost at the speed of thought.

I’ve always been interested in scrapbooking and photo album books.  So it was that when we got a computer and went online, I naturally gravitated towards creating my own online scrapbooks and blogs like this one.  I’ve been doing this as well for quite a while, and now find that I’m at the point where I want to make my work available in book form.

Now before you think that printing your own book is ludicrous and that you could never consider doing it yourself, consider how far we’ve come in just the last 10 years alone.  We didn’t even have Facebook back at the beginning of the millennium.  What you do in the next 10 years could be even more fantastic.
