If there is one thing that you would hardly find my husband without when he was a teenager, it was a set of koss headphones. Those things were practically glued to his ears as he walked to and from places like school. Obviously, he liked to listen to music. It’s an amazing time that we live in that we can listen to music on the go like this. It puts life in a somewhat different perspective when you’ve got Beethoven blaring in your ears as you jog to stay in shape.

Saturday, August 24th, 2013It never ceases to amaze me how performers and stage show creators can come up with stunning new show ideas. For example, there’s a recent performance by a band I watched on YouTube recently where the performers came out one by one following some stage helpers who had placed there “wireless” instruments on stage ahead of them. This is only recently been made possible by wireless technology.
It’s this same technology behind this excellent 8-channel uhf handheld wireless microphone system at musician’s friend. Can you even imagine what stage shows would be like anymore without this amazing technology?
Guitar
Saturday, August 24th, 2013There are some musical instruments that practically need no introduction – like musician Paul M. Such an instrument only has to be played by the right guitarist and it’s immediately obvious what is being played. Now that’s the kind of quality that makes it easy for the musician and the listener to make and appreciate music.
There are plenty of other quality guitars you will hear or even have the pleasure of playing – if you’re musically inclined. It’s simply a joy to know, though, that there are quality guitars – like the les paul jr – that make music so amazing to listen to.
high powered amplifier
Saturday, August 3rd, 2013We were recently at a friend’s house and he was showing us his old dj equipment – including a super high powered amplifier and an old turntable. It was quite impressive. He had a ton of other equipment too like a reel-to-reel machine, tape decks, vcrs and such. I didn’t one, but I’m certain he also had a pa system in there somewhere at least comparable to the cool portable pa system at musicians friend. It made me jealous and curious to hear what all that equipment sounded like.
