Copywriting is one of those skills – or professions if you like – that exists almost totally under the radar to most people. They pick up a newspaper, or open a mail piece, or browse to a web page and pass by many examples of the copywriting art without even being aware that someone sweated to produce what they now read so blithely in passing. Of course, if what they’re reading was written by a real master copywriter, they’ll forget all about the words on the page and focus only on the point that the copywriter wants them to see (which is usually to take some kind of action following the piece). This is worth all the gold that a business owner can pay to the copywriter – to get casual readers turned into buyers and ultimately lifelong customers.
Katie Yeakle has been hard at work learning and teaching this Queen of the business arts – and most essential business skill – for quite some time now. There are copywriters who have emerged from under her shadow who have gone on to create equal or even better successes for their business patrons. And they are rewarded handsomely for their craft and the business that it generates for them.
How would it be to you if you could command something like a surgeon’s income by learning to command words – something that you can easily learn in far fewer years than a surgeon learns his craft?
Now obviously, not everyone can expect to achieve the same level of success as the examples I gave above. It’s in some ways like many other professions that have a high potential for earning a bigger income. However, I think this level of success is far easier to achieve – and achieve in less time than it takes to learn other professions.
