The last time we were at my husband’s cottage, we spent a lot of time at the local beach.  There were there many sorts of water craft up and down the beach as it is filled with cottagers and their docks left and right.  It is a good size body of water too, so there are some larger sized power boats and sail boats.

Although we didn’t have use of any of the sort of larger craft that are moored just off shore from the beach, we did have some fun with my nephew’s junior sized kayak.  It was amazing to watch my nephew zip around in that little boat.  My daughter also took her turn in it and paddled around close to shore.

As I mentioned, the beach there has many kinds of boats, although I don’t remember seeing any inflatable rafts.  Now there are different kinds of inflatable rafts too.  Broadly, there are the kind of inflatable craft that is human powered like my nephew’s kayaks, only you use oars instead of a paddle.  Then of course there is the powered variety.

Of the two – powered vs rowed – I think I would rather go for the one with the motor.  I have always liked the thrill of speed on the water.
